Program Information:

Event Management by definition is  the application of project management to the creation and development of large scale events such as festivals, conferences, ceremonies, formal parties, concerts, or conventions. It is known that the world is  experiencing a fast growth in organizing international festivals and business events, especially mega events. Internationalization, recognition and importance of the events as an industry are currently paving the way for a proper events management education. It is generally accepted that event management education combines disciplines that come under the umbrella of business, communication or hospitality schools.

Through this program, students will be exposed with event and hospitality identification, implementation and management of customer responses in the workplace. The needs of effective customer oriented employee in event related industries are very essential in order to create a 5 star quality services.  With the involvement in Industrial Training and the delivery of final year project, the learning outcomes can be related to the existing and emergent needs of the profession and the discipline.



Program Aims:

 To produce event agents or front desk graduates with the knowledge and skills in both of theory and practical aspects in Event management who meet the requirements in private, travel and hotel industry.

.   To prepare graduate for event management employments in all sectors in measuring the quality level of service in any functions to customers and passenger as per obligatory.

 To produce graduate of event planning, costing and customer service sensitive and can contribute effectively to the community in the field of event management, in the same time, develop higher-level skills in a business and event management.
